- Sellers must state the item condition (new, used, or refurbished).
- Pricing must be in ZAR and include all costs except delivery.
- Me2You may remove listings that break these rules without notice.
5. How escrow works
Me2You uses escrow to protect both buyers and sellers. Here is how it works:
- Buyer pays - at checkout, the buyer pays the listing price plus a 5% Me2You commission and a flat R 14.90 buyer protection fee. Funds are held in escrow through PayFast.
- Seller dispatches - the seller must dispatch the item within 3 business days of payment confirmation.
- Buyer confirms - once the buyer receives the item, they can tap "Release now" to release payment to the seller immediately.
- Auto-release - if the buyer does not confirm or raise a dispute within 48 hours of delivery, funds are automatically released to the seller.
- Dispute - if there is a problem, the buyer can raise a dispute within 48 hours. Funds are frozen until the dispute is resolved.
Me2You does not hold funds directly. PayFast manages all payment processing.
6. Delivery
- Sellers must dispatch within 3 business days of payment confirmation.
- Drivers are independent contractors. They are not Me2You employees.
- Me2You is not liable for delays caused by third-party courier services.

- Me2You's decision on a dispute is final, subject to escalation to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud.

- Me2You is a platform connecting buyers and sellers. We are not a party to the sale itself.
